Hague Appeal for Peace
LCNP and IALANA, with other organizations, initiated the Hague Appeal for Peace in 1999, a global call to enter the 21st Century with a firm program for the abolition of war. The Global Campaign for Peace Education was created by the Hague Appeal for Peace and is now hosted by the National Peace Academy. The campaign aims to build public awareness and political support for the introduction of peace education in schools throughout the world and to promote the education of all teachers to teach for peace. Resources from the Hague Appeal for Peace include International Law and Peace: A Peace Lesson, Peace Lessons from Around the World, Peace and Disarmament Education, Time to Abolish War: Youth Manual created by Youth for Youth, and Learning to Abolish War: Book One & Book Two.
